In this video I got over how I have my Traxxas 2wd platforms setup to handle around a dirt track. Did you use Retro-brite to get your NES looking nearly as bright grey as it did brand new out of the box like it did in the late 80's/early 90s? My NES is very yellow when sided next to my NES mini. Thinking of just opting for a pro AV modded(Which also eliminates the jail bar effect) Top Loader off eBay instead, since Retro-briting an original NES seems like a bit of a hassle especially when you can't get consistent or great results, 2 sessions later. :P

@@RobertNES816 Thanks. Will do! But even then, doesn't it ruin and strip the outer coating, and still leave an inconsistent finish with certain areas still having a bit of discoloration? And I've never used a Top Loader before. @@RobertNES816 I've actually never used Retro brite before. I picked some up last week. I'll take your advice. Hopefully the results are solid. I mean, it's going to be an improvement regardless compared to how discoloured it looks as of now anyways. A multi-out port/Modded top loader that's in great shape may not be as nostalgic for most, but i love how much smaller it is, the fact that it's top loading, you can see the NES sticker/box art of whatever game you're playing and there's no AV cables hanging of it's left side like the original either. :P And to think, if the TL back in 93 released with a composite multi-out port, and they altered the dog bone controller's Slanted B&A buttons, and made them straight and closer together, people may of seen it in an entirely different light. But an AV modded port & using an OEM NES controller solves both issues with the TL entirely.

This is a long shot because this video is 6 years old, but i recently acquired a Super Famicom and wondered if i can use the Sega 1602-2 adapter with it? I used a multimeter to check it out and it showed the voltage at almost 14v and the amperage was really high at around 9a even though its only rated for 9v 1.2a. I was wondering if you still have any of these adapters and could test how many amps theyre putting out? Im worried its not safe for my genesis or super famicom to use this adapter.

@@Quaif my regular 1602 measures 8 amps with no load. It's normal for transformer type power supplies to have higher voltage and amperage with no loads. It's just how they are. That's what I plan on doing, and pairing it with either the RetroTINK 5x Pro or 4K, plus HD Retrovision SNES component cables, and using it on a 55" QD-OLED (Samsung S90C or S90D). It's just too bad that they currently don't make 42" QD-OLED's, since a 55" equals to 45" in 4:3 which is quite large for 8-16 bit games...
